EP Review: LeBrock - Gone

LeBrock releases their latest shimmering retro synth-infused pop-rock five-track EP, Gone.

Acts like LeBrock frequently demonstrate to the scene that nostalgia still has a place in contemporary music. When Lebrock debuted with their first 2016 EP, Action and Romance, the synth-heavy experience brought a fresh and innovative experience to the pop genre. Memorable and awe-inspiring, they would introduce another way to enjoy pop music with their unique fusion of rock and electro-synth elements that would continue with their next rock-anthem-imbued 2018 EP, Real Thing. They would complete their transition into the confident, infectious, and stellar retro-synth duo they are today with their 2021 album, Fuse. Now Lebrock takes these retro-rock energies and matures their sound with their dazzling new EP release, Gone.

Alluring juncture "Chemistry" and proceeding track "See me" continue to drive home their empyreal and passionate energies with wistfully engaging lyricism, twinkling guitars, and beautiful vintage synth melodies that effortlessly blend the past and present into one.

LeBrock kicks off the EP with "Running Wild." A glittering trip down memory lane with gorgeous use of atmospheric 80's synths and evocatively tinged guitar energies, one can't help but become immersed in the contagious dynamism LeBrock has created for a first experience, opening up the floor for many more beautiful moments that flood the listener's ears on Gone.

Alluring juncture "Chemistry" and proceeding track "See Me" continue to drive home their empyreal and passionate energies with wistfully engaging lyricism, twinkling guitars, and beautiful vintage synth melodies that effortlessly blend the past and present into one.

"Can't Breath" keeps the yesteryear ball rolling with LeBrock's clever use of vocals, baroscopic guitars, and ornamented synth delivery to bring listeners to the closing finale track, "Gone."

The throwback duo brings the EP to a star-studded close with another standout track that brilliantly exemplifies all of LeBrock's talents to produce an incredible piece of musical art filled with breathtaking cinematic electronic elements, brilliant arena-ready guitar riffs, and mesmerizing vocal work.

The Gone EP is an illustrious and colorful extension of their last EP releases. Precision and complexity are thoughtfully encompassed into each tune, with percussion, synths, and charismatic vocals that celebrate the past while embracing the present. With each release, LeBrock stays at the pinnacle of their form, never sacrificing novel sound and presence as they evolve throughout their careers.
