From the beginning of the album, aptly titled, “HOLLYWOOD SUICIDE,” GHØSTKID begins this journey. An intrusive mix of electronic, metalcore, numetal, and melodic elements, GHØSTKID tells a raw story of personal suicide to reach the point he is at now. A painful theme that circumvents throughout the album, “Hollywood Suicide” is a small snapshot of whats to come for the remainder of the album.
“S3X” takes a dark, denuded, and gritty turn. Deeply emotional and blends traditional rock and progressive elements, GHØSTKID has created one of the best tracks on the album that elicits such a strong response for it being the second track on the album.
“FSU” and “HEAVY RAIN” picks up the pace, offering a pleasant change of pace and showcasing that GHØSTKID has really matured and grown when it comes to perfectly balancing out different textures of vocals and genres while still maintaining the gloomy imagery that is intelligently painted within each experience.
The trap-infused tune “VALERIE” showcases GHØSTKID's creativity, as the melodramatic atmosphere beautifully hugs the beginning and close of its expressive lyrics before moving on to more high-octane tracks "UGLY" and "BLOOD." GHØSTKID continues to astound with each track and the final three tracks only exemplify this more.
Diabolical heavy-hitter “MURDER” featuring Code:Pandorum and “DAHLIA” continues to carry the albums massive aggressive energies. With high-tempo rhythms, cathodic moments, and incredible use of vocals,GHØSTKID's spit-fire and impassioned lyricism carries the album to the beautiful finale, “HELENA DRIVE.”
A far more opulent piece then the rest of the tracks on Hollywood Suicide, “HELENA DRIVE” is brutal while carrying a celestial vibe within the pockets of its deep resonating guitar riffs and powerful echoing drums before fading to darkness.
